If you’re looking to blaze a new trail, you sure came to the right place. We believe every experience should be wow-worthy and downright fun! Come make friends, amigas, przyjaciele, buddies and sisters around a campfire, while building a robot, or perhaps exploring the outdoors in one of our workshops! Just bring your imagination and we’ll take care of the rest. Today is for doing; let’s go, Girl Scout!
This year we are offering more than 1,000 programs for girls. WOWZA! The listing of these exciting programs, cool events and fun activities is now available with a powerful search engine to help you find exactly what you’re looking for.
Use the search function to sort opportunities by age-level, vicinity, category or event type! If you’ve already got a program code in hand, use the search by code function to get all those nitty-gritty details.
Due to allergies, outside snacks are not permitted at council programs. No food will be supplied by the council unless specifically stated in the program description.
Deadlines and Min/Max Requirements
Once registration begins, programs will be filled on a first-come, first-serve basis. Registration will continue until the program has reached the maximum number allowed or the registration deadline, which varies depending on the program. Programs may be cancelled if the stated minimum is not met; all programs are subject to change or cancellation.
All program fees must be paid in full with the registration. Fees are deposited when registration is processed. When registering with paper forms, do not postdate checks; there will be a $25 service charge for checks returned due to insufficient funds.
Unless specified as a family or parent/girl program, use the recommended ratios for the number of adults per girl as listed in the Safety Activity Checkpoints.
Normal fee charges help cover supplies and/or facilitator fees. Actual costs are offset by council funding such as fall product and Girl Scout Cookie program profit, Family Partnership contributions, grants and other funder allocations.
Siblings may not attend programs unless they are fully registered Girl Scouts who meet the age level recommendations for the program or if the program is specified as a family event.
Insignia such as petals and badges, journey awards and keepsakes, patches and charms are not included in the program fee unless indicated. Insignia may be purchased through our council shop; requirements are achieved by the interpretation of the facilitator.
Cancellations and Refunds
If the council cancels an activity or event for any reason, troops or families will receive a full refund. Programs may be cancelled due to low enrollment. If a program does not meet the minimum girls required by the registration close date, the program will be cancelled. Participants will be notified of the cancellation via email on the Monday prior to the program. Council events and activities run rain or shine, unless there are safety concerns that prompt the council to issue a cancellation notice.
Participants choosing not to attend will not be issued a refund.
Refunds will be made as follows:
- No refunds issued on pre-purchased tickets
- No refunds are given within two weeks of a program
- Refund requests must be made in writing prior to registration deadline
- No refunds will be made for registrants not attending the program
- Girl and adult membership registration is non-refundable
Adult volunteers are needed at some programs to maintain the appropriate girl-adult ratio. If space is limited, once the girl-adult ratio is met, no additional adult registrations will be accepted.
Men are encouraged and welcome to participate in Girl Scouts as volunteers or event chaperones. Separate accommodations will be made as appropriate in accordance to Safety Activity Checkpoints, which specifically prohibits men from sleeping in the same space as girl members. Men may participate in overnights only if separate sleeping quarters and bathrooms are available for their use. For programs labeled as family events being held at non-Girl Scout locations, it is up to the troop leader to follow Safety Activity Checkpoints. For more information about overnight regulations for male volunteers, call 630-544-5900 or email us.
